why is it so hard to be resilient I
really need your help with this question
because I genuinely don't understand how
I can keep telling myself that doing
something is going to be good for me I
have seen results from my past where
whenever I do something consistently and
follow through I will get good results
but whenever I'm trying I'm in the
process like I'm in the Rut stage of
doing something so for example I've been
making a video every day for the past
month pretty much give or take a few
days here here and there for holidays
but this is the point where I always
fail so I get to the point where things
start to get boring and I get shiny
object syndrome I saw I felt it
yesterday I was looking at my previous
projects like hm which one of these
should I maybe pick up now um now that I
like in the back of my mind I I know
that I feel bored of making these videos
and I want to I want to trust the
process here I need to trust in the goal
that I have set for myself
and I want to know what you think about
this because if this happens to me time
and time again in my life maybe it's
happened to you too I mean in the past
for me it's been Drop Shipping it's been
um an agency that I wanted to start I I
still have ling a lingering client from
this and it's
just I mean I'm I'm trying to get I'm
trying to migrate them to someone else
but it's just a consistent pattern in my
life and the only time I've actually
ever followed through with a season of
like grind or whatever was whenever I I
got my previous last job my the job I'm
currently at which 3x my income so I'm
thinking what is hiding behind this rut
here so I'm I'm really bored of making
these videos um I enjoy making them I
whenever I'm in the in the present
moment making these videos talking to
you I I really enjoy it because I get to
be present I get to practice being
articulate but whenever I'm not the
camera is in the bag it's off I really
have trouble um trying to like getting
myself to the point where I can hit
record and make and speak to the
camera I have a vision of where this is
going to go but maybe I just don't trust
myself enough
and but at the same time uh it really
feels like
there I'm so addicted to the dop
addicted to the dopamine of for example
uh a video popping off or something
getting a few hundred videos a few
hundred views might be a small deal of
someone else but to me that dopamine is
is very potent and it is dangerous
because I keep checking for example the
YouTube studio app and looking at my
stats and
stuff because I guess I've become too
attached to the vision that I see I need
to go back to the present and reevaluate
I think so in order to stay resilient
here I need to keep doing not not just
keep doing what I'm doing but notice
where I'm messing up along the way so I
need to identify the triggers and this
is what you can do in your life to
identify what's causing you to um fail
at whatever you're doing as well so my
trigger here it sounds like is I'm
checking YouTube Studio check I'm
looking at the wrong metrics that don't
align with my vision so all these
metrics that I'm looking at they're
inconsequential in the long
term I want to focus on the skill of
becoming very articulate being able ble
to express my thoughts and emotions to
you and be able to connect at a a deep
level uh
authentically
so yeah I I
think that's I think that should really
I think I've been able to articulate
some of the things that are weighing on
my mind today and I honestly feel a
little bit better um hopefully you got
some value from this video as well maybe
it'll give you some insight onto how
you're you might be struggling with
resilience in your own way um whenever
I'm struggling
with not with procrastination pretty
much I'm doing things like watching TV
uh watching bunch of anime reading manga
just literally finding things to do to
occupy my time and that's that's not
good because we have we have finite time
we have finite time so even though it
feels like we have unlimited
retries it that's not the case we only
have enough as many tries as we can fit
into our
lifetime and we never know when when
that time will end so if we want to
achieve what we want to achieve within
this lifetime I mean the time is now so
what's hiding behind your rut um what do
you think is hiding behind your season
of um of work right now that I mean you
can literally accomp accomplish anything
within a few months um I mean within
reason I suppose you're not going to get
get to the moon or whatever that might
take a few years but as as we can see
with enough Earnest effort most things
are
possible and I I really believe that and
I want to change my life this season
hopefully you do uh want to want to
change your life as well and I'll see
you next time
