welcome to your weekly word where we
learn a word a week to become articulate
it's pretty simple once we become
articulate we hopefully will no longer
sound like idiots and there's no better
way to do this than through practice and
just slow deliberate practice so once uh
once a week we're going to go over a
word like today we're going to be going
over
sovereignty uh this is the first word
and uh in the series and I think it's
going to be it's it's worth the uh spot
of being the number one the first word
so sovereignty stems from the Latin
Latin uh and I you not it's
superus uh it means above apparently and
it it used to refer to like how monarchs
and Kings the queen and queens are above
the rest but these days it's more about
being Sovereign about your own um your
yourself having full control of of
yourself and just being the author of
your own story um having complete
control over your life if you have
complete control over your life then you
have sovereignty over yourself and your
life
and Beyond the whole articulacy thing I
think sovereignty is a good goal to have
in life as well it's it's one of my
goals is just to have complete Freedom
um I think I I hope you would relate not
I don't think anyone here wants to be
bound by anything and
by absorbing these words into our
lexicon I think it it kind of
subconsciously makes that word a part of
us so I would truly like to be Sovereign
have sovereignty of of my own life and
if you do too maybe that can be a word
you can incorporate into your common
vernacular this week so um
maybe okay I lost track of things um I I
I don't do edits to my videos anymore I
don't add any music um
so forgive me if this video is a little
bit halfhazard just because um I haven't
done a series like this yet so yeah my
goal with series is for us to go on this
journey together to learn more not only
just learn more words but to be able to
sound the way we want to sound to
express ourselves the way we want to
express ourselves
um in our goal state so if I want to be
in the room with for example important
people uh people who like sound very
smart like for example Jordan Peterson
or whatever um Lex fredman uh Chris
Williamson I'm going to have to really
up my communication game in order to
just not sound like a total idiot
sitting with these people um that might
be a pipe dream but I think it's a dream
that I can get excited about and if you
can get excited about that too um I mean
feel please hit that subscribe that like
button and um I'd really appreciate it
and I'd really like to have some other
people to go on this journey with me
just I don't want to be the only sample
