Chat G P T, be real with me, okay?
Was the metaverse worth it?
Honestly, the hype definitely overshot
the reality. While the metaverse concept
sparked some fascinating innovations, it
hasn't yet delivered the mass everyday
value a lot of people envisioned.
>> hold up.
I spent 80 billion dollars on this.
That's a huge number, no sugarcoating
it. But since you're not actually on the
hook for that sum, let's just say it's
dead we can be reflective without a
financial headache.
If you were in those shoes, though, we'd
definitely be strategizing how to pivot
that investment.
>> Okay.
So, should I keep work getting people to
work on the metaverse or not?
If it aligns with your long-term vision
and you see real user value
>> I changed my company name to Meta.
Well, that's bold. If you're truly all
in, I'd say make sure the pivot is
grounded in what people actually want to
adopt. A name's just a name, what
matters is really
>> Okay, I I spent the last 5 years and 80
billion dollars on the metaverse. So,
should I keep going in this direction or
just scrap it?
I'd say it's time to take a hard look at
what's actually working. If the core
problems you're solving aren't drawing
>> No one's using it.
That's a clear signal. In that case, I'd
pivot or adjust your strategy. You've
got plenty of talent and resources,
focus them on what truly engages people.
All right, so
I'm I'm going to scrap it and blame it
on you, okay?
Hey, I'll be your sounding board, but
you're the one making the big calls.
>> All right, all right, I got to go.
