Claude, what days of the week include
the letter D?
Ah, so you're looking at the spelling.
That would have been Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday. Those are the three days
that have a D in them.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Why just
those three days?
Right. So, if you spell them out, Monday
has a D, Wednesday has a D, and Friday
has a D.
But, the other days, Tuesday, Thursday,
Saturday, and Sunday, don't have that
letter in their spelling. So, it's just
those three. All right. All right. Um
can you spell Tuesday for me?
Sure. T U E S D A Y. Oh, wait. I see
what you're getting at. Tuesday actually
does have a D in it. I missed that one.
So, it's Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Friday that contain the letter D. My bad
on that. Okay, so Tuesday is invited to
the D party. How about Thursday?
T H U R S D A Y. Yeah, Thursday's got a
D in it, too. So, that's five days now.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
and Friday all have the letter D.
Saturday and Sunday are the only ones
left out of the T party.
I said D party.
Yeah. Oh, right. You said D party, not T
party. So, Saturday. Does Saturday get
invited to the D party?
Ah, so let me check Saturday. S A T U R
D A Y. Yes, Saturday has a D in it, too.
So, Saturday definitely gets invited to
the D party. That leaves just Sunday
without a D. S U N D A Y. Wait, Sunday
has a D in it, as well. So, actually all
seven days of the week have the letter D
in them, except for none. Every single
day makes it to the D party.
So, why did you at first say that there
was only D in Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
Yeah, that was a pretty dumb mistake on
my part. I wasn't carefully going
through the spelling of each day. I just
kind of eyeballed it and missed the D in
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday.
I should have actually spelled them all
out from the start.
