What's up, code phonies? Have you ever
purchased two products that are nearly
identical because you're a sucker? Well,
if not, maybe it's just me because I
purchased Algo Expert and Leak Code. I
mean, they're pretty expensive, but I I
convinced myself somehow to get both of
them. So, obviously, I have to make a
video about it. All right. All right.
So, today I'm going to be comparing my
experiences with Le Code and Algo Expert
because whenever I was doing research to
like find information about this, I
really didn't know if I should get Algo
Expert basically because Le Code premium
was like everyone was saying that this
is a great investment. It's the best
platform out there for this kind of like
training for like data structures and
algorithms and things like that. With
Algo Expert, it just seemed really, I
don't know, fishy, I guess, because it's
marketed so well on YouTube and I watch
a lot of YouTube. So, it really put me
as the perfect customer for that. And
even though I was marketed like
bombarded with marketing for it, I kept
researching about it thinking like, why
would I need this? So, I just bit the
bullet and I was like, you know what? If
I want to, you know, do what I want to
do with my career, then like anything
that can improve my skills isn't going
to be a waste of time or money, I think.
And I don't have an affiliate code, just
so you know, right now yet. So, Clement,
if you want to give me an affiliate
code, you know, I'm right here, man. So,
if you see an affiliate code in the
future, you pick me up. So, yeah, you
can look up on Google real quick. Should
I buy Lead Code Premium? And the
consensus is going to be either yes or
no, screw leak code, just do code wars
or something free, hacker rank, I don't
know, just all these other free options.
But leak code is such an amazing tool.
Like it just puts everything in one easy
to use place. And if you have premium,
it even has like a a debugger, which is
it's actually helped me a few times like
debug my my own code so I don't have to
just, you know, keep searching for a
solution or something.
And uh sometimes whenever you're making
your own solution, you really need that
debugger because your code is just like
so garbage, especially if you're buying
this product or what if you need this
product, your code's not going to be
like the the greatest. So the point at
which I was like maybe I should get algo
expert, right? was whenever I was on
lead code and I can I was solving easys
at this point without looking at the
solution every time because in the for
the first like 10 or 15 honestly like I
would eventually have to just look at
the solution because there's just these
patterns that you need to know it's like
building a set of tools that you can use
in the future. So I was getting to the
point where I can do even a few mediums
without looking at the solution first
and then like I I just kind of hit this
wall you know and it's just really
demotivating.
So that's I think where algo expert came
in and really helped me out because I'm
like 25 or 30 problems deep into algo
expert now. But the way I use lead code
and algo expert together is that I'll le
code until I hit that that wall and then
instead of just lead coding even more.
I'll go over to algo expert and try to
you know and I'll lower my difficulty
level a little bit and just rerun
through the basics and those clement
explanations. It really helps to ingrain
the the subject matter into your into
your brain so that you can really
understand what like data structure
you're using in that specific situation
and then it helps you use it again later
in the future. So yeah, I really like
the setup of Le code and how they have
like the discussion section where you
can actually ask and read other people's
questions and answers and a lot of the
time it re it answers what you were
asking because if you're thinking that
thing then most likely someone else has
thought of it before especially since Le
code is like a few years old now and uh
algex expert doesn't have that value
proposition but it does have system
designs now and it also has mock
interviews that they're working out. So
I think that really adds a lot to the
the whole value package of leak code. I
mean a of expert. So I think both of
them are actually really worth it. I
think if you're really serious about
getting your data structures and
algorithms down and you only can afford
one of them, I would I would pick leak
code
if you already have some if you already
have some computer science knowledge
because they don't really hold your hand
as much and you have to really, you
know, know what you're looking for most
of the times like especially starting
out cuz as someone who's not familiar
with software engineering topics and
things, you know, you don't know what
you're going into going straight into
lead code. Whereas Algo Expert will
really hold your hand from the very
beginning. And then now that they have
the mock interviews and the the system
designs,
I mean, I think that's great because I
actually paid for an educative.io
course as well. It was like rocking the
the interview or rocking the
programming interview, something like
that. But uh yeah, I regret purching the
purchasing that one. I might not in the
future because I've only like watched I
read through two of the chapters. Maybe
if I read through more, I'll not regret
it anymore. But as of right now, that
was $90 that maybe I could have saved.
