I'm the father and this is me crying my
eyes out to the most Bittersweet moment
I've ever had in my entire life today I
had a revelation about my daughter I
have this play fight with her all the
time where I call her a medium-sized
toddler and I thought it was really
funny uh just seeing her reaction
because she hates being called a toddler
I mean anyone I think anyone can relate
to that however I for some reason it
just didn't click for me and I thought I
was just being a little bit annoying but
I mean it that really
does hurt some it could make someone
feel not very confident if they keep
getting called a toddler um they can
just default to the identity of oh I'm
I'm a baby still but she's 6 years old
and she's not a baby anymore and I feel
like I need to treat her like a big girl
so I mean I I finally caved and after my
wife said that I was being uh kind of
derogatory pretty much
I called her I called her a big girl I
was like you're not a toddler your your
brother's a toddler he's two but you're
six and you're a big girl
now and I was really I I felt some
sadness saying that because it felt like
the end of an era and it didn't really
hit me until later when I was putting
them them to sleep that I I don't know
it was just like I said it was a really
Bittersweet moment and I mean the the
feeling was really exquisite just it's
like knowing that you're experiencing a
rare feeling for a fleeting moment in
your lifetime to me that those moments
are really beautiful and yeah I wanted
to capture the moment a little
bit but it's crazy
that she went
from it's
like arguing
like this making a little
mess she's denying the
mess
like what are you doing putting bags on
her head

being parent one day and I think it's
especially eye openening for men who
have daughters I was already I guess
pretty sensitive before but I mean I I
try not to advertise

was first born I wrote down this super

notes from from like ancient times it
seems like it's been the most reliable

really nice but yeah

my nose is now dripping but I'm afraid
to get up to wipe it screw it just use
my hand love you to bits
